Nandi Hills — the sunrise classic

Coorg — misty, green and romantic
Drive: ~5–6 hours · Vibe: lush, misty, intimate

Chikmagalur — coffee hills and calm

Coffee estates, misty peaks and quiet resorts make Chikmagalur a lovely, less-crowded alternative to Coorg — great for a relaxed, green, hill-country shoot over a weekend.
The Bengaluru Rural countryside — close and open
Drive: under an hour · Vibe: open, rustic, natural
You don’t always have to go far. The countryside around Nelamangala and Bengaluru Rural offers open fields, lakes and rustic backdrops close to the city — a great option for a natural shoot on a tighter timeline. We know this area well as a locally based studio.
How to plan a getaway shoot
- Match the vibe to the place. Decide the feeling first (romantic / dramatic / serene), then pick the location.
- Budget the days. Coorg and Hampi need two days minimum; Nandi Hills can be a single morning.
- Shoot the golden hours. Plan around sunrise and sunset at the destination, not midday.
- Mind the season. Cooler, drier months are most reliable; the monsoon is lush but unpredictable — build in buffers.
- Plan outfits and logistics. Travel light, plan outfit changes, and keep the schedule realistic.
